Building audits

Print this pageprint

Building audits provide an in-depth, snap-shot analysis of a building’s performance, focussing on particular issues such as health and safety, the assessment of fire risk or access and facilities for disabled people.  Since the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) in 1995 access audits have formed the majority of our audit work.  Over the last decade access audits have become increasingly viewed as a first, but very important, step towards improving accessibility – so much so they are now virtually seen as ‘must-have’ documents for employers and service providers whether as owners, occupiers or end-users.

Experience
We have specialists in this field in most offices who have worked for a broad range of clients.

Informed
Our clients receive the most up-to-date information as we constantly review the legislation and best practice in this area.

Focus
We provide our clients with audit reports tailored to their specific requirements, rather than producing a one size fits all checklist. Our recommendations and findings are presented clearly and concisely with cost estimation.

Follow up services
Our experience in designing and managing construction projects  enable us to help clients carry out the works to improve access.
