Malcolm Hollis at MIPIM 2018
News | April 12, 2018
Malcolm Hollis attended MIPIM again this year and had a productive week promoting our services and overall brand, meeting existing clients and growing our network. We also took time to learn more about our industry and the European market from other experts by attending relevant seminars such as an investment outlook for the European market.
As per previous years, we strategically chose a team of Malcolm Hollis experts to attend the world’s largest property conference, tasked with promoting all our services including Environmental, Project Management, TDD and Rights of Light. Those in attendance were Anne Johnstone, Ashley Winter, Chris Sullivan, Edward Pittar, Ian McKenna, Jamie O’Brien, John Watson, Mark Hampson, Nicholas Dowding QC, Peter Martin, Robert Ballantyne, Roland Verniers, Steve Hughes, Tom Pugh, Sophie Dixon and Molly Beatty.
Throughout the four days we also hosted breakfasts, lunches and dinners for clients and contacts and sponsored the ‘Estates Gazette Cheltenham Festival at MIPIM’ event.
Overall it was a very successful week and even the weather couldn’t dampen our spirits or stop us from finding new opportunities.
On the way to MIPIM
Partners Steve Hughes and Ian McKenna travelled from London to Cannes by motorbike taking in glorious scenery along the way. The ride took three days and they were joined by a number of other bike enthusiasts from clients including MACE, Savills, McKay Securities and Taylor Wessing.
Partner Mark Hampson joined the 150 cyclists who took part in the L&G Real Assets 1,500km cycle from London to Cannes to raise money for Coram, which is the UK’s first children’s charity. They help over 1.25 million children a year through various methods including arranging adoption and fostering and finding loving, secure homes for some of the most vulnerable and hard-to-place children in the country.
Mark says: The cycle was tough but it was great to take part and to have raised nearly £4,000 so far for such a great cause. We’re still hoping to raise a bit more money for the charity so if you are able to donate, please do so here.
