Michael Smyth

Partner | London

I am a Partner based in our London City office and I head up the London technical due diligence team

What I do

I specialise in technical due diligence building surveys of commercial property and have experience of dealing with everything from iconic office towers to the most humble retail units.  I joined Malcolm Hollis in 2013 and now lead the London technical due diligence team.

I qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2005, but have been involved in the industry since leaving school in 1992 when I started my career as a trainee quantity surveyor with Wimpey Construction.  I then moved over to contracts management in shopfitting before completing my degree and making the move to building surveying consultancy.

Who I am

Outside work I spend most of my time with my wife and two children, or when time allows I enjoy socialising with friends. On all too rare occasions I spend my spare time indulging my passion for anything with four wheels.
