Resources & Admin Support

We strive to ensure that our clients are fully satisfied with our service. There are a number of ways that we give support to our members of staff to ensure that they can work to truly offer an excellent standard of service.

Naturally we have excellent secretarial and administrative support in place but we also know that technologically we are streets ahead of the competition.

Our investment in IT systems, infrastructure and other equipment is very substantial. We continue to come up with innovative ways to maintain our technological lead over our competitors. We’re always looking for ways to utilise the latest technology to give us a true business advantage. But what is really helping our business are the software packages and databases specially developed for us. With highly-available systems providing real-time job management, we are able to provide productivity gains throughout Malcolm Hollis to ensure we continue to deliver a high standard of service for our clients.

Secretarial and administrative support is also very important and from day one all surveyors have a nominated secretary.

Sports & Social

Teamwork is a big part of who we are at Malcolm Hollis and although we are growing fast, we still feel that it is important to get all members of staff in one location twice per year.

We hold a Christmas party for everyone in December and our Summer Team Building event takes place in July which is always a fun day. In the past few years we have tackled an assault course, paintballed and tried our hand at human table football.

In our case the old saying that a team that works together plays together is true and colleagues across our offices regularly arrange social events throughout the year. Recent activities have included a trip to the Comedy Store in London, a day out at the Chester Races, ten pin bowling, softball in the local park, quiz nights and a curry night.

We also regularly support a number of charities including coffee mornings in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Jeans for Gene’s day as well as entering colleagues to take part in many of the industries charity events including the LandAid 5k Fun Run and the Jones Lang LaSalle Property Triathlon.

Aside from charity events, there are a number of ad hoc activities which take place regularly including running at lunchtime, climbing on a local climbing wall, water-skiing and canoeing, squash, pool, golf and, of course, a few beers after work.
