What’s different about Malcolm Hollis?

We’re quite unlike any other surveying firm. Although we are known for our fierce professionalism and strong commercial focus we are equally, casual, friendly and relaxed.

You may have read this about other firms – but we really do mean it. We don’t know of many other surveying firms where you can come to work in shorts and flip-flops.

We are keen to promote our unique spirit and approach to work and this is as much ‘us’ as our drive to perform to the highest standards for our clients.

Because of our flat management structure you’ll also find that nobody, partners included, is ‘off-limits’. If you have a question about a job you’re working on you can ask anyone to help you. Unanswered questions and nagging doubts are frustrating and counter-productive, so we see asking questions as an essential learning tool and we encourage all of our staff, regardless of role or ‘rank’, to pitch in with queries.

Equally, where someone has an idea that might help to improve our productivity or services, or if you’ve spotted an opportunity for a new service, we’re not precious about where that idea came from. Your views and ideas are just as valid as the senior partner’s and credit for that idea will go to the person who generated it.
