Malcolm Hollis is quite unlike any other building consultancy firm.

You may have read this about other firms – but we really do mean it. We have a unique company spirit and unique way of working.

We’re independently-owned and independently-minded, not afraid to give honest advice or to be ourselves. We’re challenging and supportive; enthusiastic and progressive; successful and commercially minded, and at the same time, a fun place to work.

Our people are our most important asset so to ensure we continue to attract and retain a great team, we promise the following:

To communicate…

We are very transparent about how decisions are made within our business and want all of our employees to be confident and comfortable to ask a question or voice a concern. We have a number of initiatives to ensure you can have an input and are informed of business performance, upcoming plans and changes as we continue to grow.

To innovate…

Our investment in IT systems, databases, software packages and infrastructure is substantial and we are always looking to harness technological innovation to maintain our competitive edge. Our Business Support and Business Technology & Transformation teams work tirelessly to ensure our employees and clients have a great experience.

To create opportunities…

Your career path is your own and your line manager will support you in identifying your goals, defining the criteria for success and achieving your ambition. We want you to succeed and we’re growing to create opportunities for you, whether that means developing new skills, specialising in a particular area, leading a team or opening a new office.

To care…

It’s important to us that you are happy and healthy and maintain a positive work life balance. That is why we offer cycle schemes, gym discounts, flu jabs, eye tests, fresh fruit in the office and lots more to make sure you are looking after yourself. We also promote an environment which is open, honest and supportive for those of us who are suffering from or have been affected by mental health problems.

To have fun…

We get together as a company twice a year for our Christmas party and our Summer Training Day and the past few years have seen us take on the Crystal Maze, tackle a GPS treasure hunt in Brighton and try our hand at human table football.

We also hold monthly pay day drinks, quarterly lunches and activities across our offices which range from a trip to the Comedy Store in London, a day out at Chester races, lunchtime running club, book club, ten pin bowling, softball in the local park, quiz nights and curry nights.

We take part in numerous charity and industry sporting events so whether you are an avid runner, cyclist, golfer or dodgeball enthusiast, there will be something for you to get involved in!
